Instant Locs Consultation
Before booking Instant Locs, a consultation is required so I can evaluate your hair type, texture, and readiness for this method. Whether your hair is loose, in comb coils, twists, or braids, we’ll talk about how the process works and what to expect during and after installation. I’ll answer any questions, review my policies, and help you understand the care and maintenance needed to support this method long-term. This is also the time for us to align on parting preferences, sizing, and overall goals for your loc journey.
About Service
Instant Locs are created by backcombing your natural hair and using a crochet hook to compress and lock it into place immediately—skipping the traditional budding phase. This method can be used on loose natural hair or freshly styled hair like comb coils, twists, or braids. While the locs appear mature right away, they’re still loosely locked and require consistent wash and retwist appointments to fully solidify over time. The result is a neat, uniform look with an accelerated start to your loc journey. I do not offer interlocking, sisterlocks, or microlocs.
after care
After install, it’s important to treat your locs with care as they settle and begin to lock naturally. Sleep with a bonnet, cleanse your scalp every two weeks, oil once or twice a week, and avoid styles that add too much tension too soon. Regular maintenance—especially in the first few months—is crucial to help the locs mature and strengthen. Your schedule should follow the same guidelines as full head, crown, or crochet retwists depending on your hair type. I’ll help you track your progress and adjust your care as needed to ensure your locs lock in beautifully.
how to book
To book your Instant Locs service, visit the Book Online page and select the Instant Locs category. Choose the appropriate option based on your hair length, and once selected, the earliest available appointments will appear. Pick the time that works best for you and pay the deposit to confirm your booking. A confirmation email will follow with the remaining balance due at your appointment. Make sure to review the service description and my Policy Page before booking so you’re fully prepared for your install.
