POLICY & FAQ

Before engaging with any services or making a purchase, I encourage visitors to carefully review my policies outlined on this website. For ease and clarification regarding bookings and services offered, I've curated a comprehensive FAQ section. These resources aim to provide clarity and guidance, ensuring a seamless and informed experience. Your understanding of these details is paramount to our collaboration and ensures that your expectations are met effectively.

  • When is a consultation needed?
    A consultation is required before booking an appointment for the first time or if you have not booked within the last 4 months. Please visit the Services page to verify which consultation is required for the appointment you are looking to book.
  • Can I book my consultation and appointment at the same time?
    Please schedule the consultation only and together we will schedule the appointment at the conclusion of the consultation. Consultation & services CANNOT be booked for the same day. The service CANNOT be booked before the consultation occurs.
  • Does the consultation fee apply to my service?
    Consultation payment does not apply to service and is non-refundable.
  • Is there a cut off time for consultations?
    Yes, I ask that you please do not book a consultation after 7:00pm EST. I am unable to restrict later times from showing with consultations, however, I will take my last consultation at 6:00pm EST. If you book a consultation and the end time is after 7:00pm EST it will be cancelled.
  • What if I book my service with the wrong length?
    You will be charged the correct price at your appointment for the length of hair you have at the beginning of your appointment.
  • What if I haven't seen you in a few months?
    If you go more than four (4) months without communicating that you are doing self care I request that a New Client Consultation is booked in order to follow up.
  • Are the deposits refundable?
    No, none of the deposits required to book are refundable.
  • Do I have to pay another deposit if I reschedule?
    You are able to reschedule your appointment for free ONCE per appointment. IF you need to reschedule a second time you will need to pay your deposit again.
  • What is considered as late?
    For a consultation 5 minutes with no notice is considered late and will be marked as a no-show. For a service 15 minutes with no notice is considered late and will be subject to a $25 late fee added to the appointment. At 20 minutes with no notice you will be considered a no-show and have your appointment cancelled. Once you are marked as a no-show the remaining balance of your appointment will be due.
  • How do I reschedule?
    You are able to reschedule via the LocsByBee website at your own convenience. You can also reach out to me to reschedule an appointment for your FIRST rescheduling in the instance you have a technical issue or if you will be charged another deposit for the first reschedule.
  • How late can I reschedule an appointment?
    I ask that you reschedule as soon as 72hrs and no later than 24hrs before your scheduled appointment.
  • What if I want to downgrade the service I book?
    If you would like to change services I ask that you log in to change services at least 72hrs before your scheduled appointment. You will be charged for what you book including any additional fees applied the day of your appointment. Ex: Booking a repair and then requesting just the wash and retwist the day of appointment, you can get the wash and retwist but you will still pay the repair price. The same policy applies to downgrading styles. If you upgrade services you will be charged accordingly.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    If you cancel with less than 24 hr notice, half of the remaining appointment balance is due. If you are a no show the full remaining balance will be due. If your card declines the balance due your access to my books will be revoked until you are able to pay the balance.
  • Who cancels my appointments?
    You are responsible for booking and canceling appointments. In certain cases I will cancel an appointment for a client, upon request, if there is a technical issue or I am the one rescheduling the appointment for you. Failure to cancel in a timely manner will justify all late cancellation fees.
  • How do I cancel my appointments?
    Appointments would be cancelled online via the LocsByBee website ONLY. You will log into your existing profile and cancel any necessary appointments you have scheduled. Please do not email or text me asking me to cancel appointments.
  • What is your unattended child policy?
    Please no unattended children at your appointment or consultation.
  • Do you have certain times for booking kids?
    If your child is a client I ask that you please schedule all appointments before 7pm est.
  • How young do you start locs for kids?
    I start locs on children as young as 4 years old.
  • My child is tender headed, will that be a problem?
    Not at all. I will have a talk with them and let them know that clear communication with me about any pain felt will not only make the process easier but make me a better loctican. I also welcome open communication from parents and guardians about salon etiquette and expected behavior during service.
  • My child has sensory issues, will that be a problem?
    Not at all. I have extensive experience with client of all ages with sensory concerns. Please feel open enough to share that information with me and I will do my best to make them as comfortable as possible.
  • Do you mind if I eat?
    I don't mind at all, however I do have misophonia so please no eating, drinking, or chewing gum at your appointment if you are a person who audibly eats (smacks on your food or gum).
