New Client Consultation
Before booking a Crown Service, a consultation is required if you’re a new client or if it’s been more than four months since your last appointment. This allows me to understand your hair’s current state, any concerns you may have, and your maintenance goals moving forward. We’ll also go over booking steps, my policies, and how best to care for your crown between visits. Whether you’re looking to maintain a specific style or need help managing growth or breakage, this time ensures we're aligned before you sit in my chair.
About Service
Crown Services are for clients with locs only on the top of the head—shaved from temple to temple—and include full care and maintenance for that section. I’ll wash and retwist your locs using the palm roll method, followed by your chosen style, like island twists or a fresh updo. You can also add treatments like a detox soak or hot oil to keep your crown looking and feeling its best. Every appointment is tailored to your hair’s unique needs and rooted in natural, healthy loc care. I do not offer interlocking, sisterlocks, or microlocs.
after care
To keep your crown healthy, I recommend sleeping with a bonnet, cleansing your locs every two weeks, and oiling your scalp once or twice a week. Styles should be worn for no more than two weeks to avoid buildup or stress on the roots. Your formal maintenance schedule depends on your loc style: once a month or 1.5 months for manicured locs, every 2 months for semi-freeform, and every 3 months if you’re choosing a freeform journey. Following a regular routine keeps your crown looking fresh and prevents thinning or breakage. I’ll always recommend what works best based on your hair’s needs at each visit.
how to book
To book your Crown Service, head to the Book Online page and select the Crown category. From there, choose your service—whether it’s a wash and retwist, detox soak, or a retwist and a style—then select your hair length. The earliest available dates will appear; choose the one that works best for you and pay the deposit to reserve your appointment. You’ll receive a confirmation email with the remaining balance due after your service. Be sure to review the service descriptions and my Policy Page before booking so you know exactly what to expect.
